Disney’s Star Wars Live Promotion
Zavvi, renowned for its iconic partnerships with leading entertainment brands, tasked us with an exciting project centred around the Star Wars franchise. The campaign aimed to promote several new products from the Star Wars universe, coinciding with the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series on Disney+. To create a truly immersive experience, Zavvi planned a live TikTok broadcast that would showcase the new products in a fresh and engaging way.
Unlike previous broadcasts, which typically featured traditional Star Wars settings such as cantinas, imperial ship hallways, or Tatooine streets, this set was inspired by scenes from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The brief was to develop a new environment that captured the essence of the latest regions Obi-Wan visits, integrating elements and lighting cues from the show’s fresh landscapes.
As part of the project, I led the initial design exploration for the set, drawing inspiration from the series’ visuals and working closely with the build team to bring the concept to life. Additionally, I collaborated with the video team to ensure the lighting would complement the set and create the desired atmosphere. The result was a unique and visually striking environment that set the tone for a memorable broadcast, allowing Zavvi to showcase their Star Wars merchandise in an innovative and captivating way.
